Authorities say a family was evacuated from their Glendale home after a car crashed into it.

Police received reports around 6:15 p.m. on Friday about a car slammed through the front of a home near Camelback Road and 67th Avenue.

According to authorities, the driver is believed to have suffered a medical emergency when the accident occurred. The unidentified woman wasn't injured during the accident and is expected to be OK.

The elderly homeowner said she was sitting in a front room inside the home when she felt compelled to get up and move. Moments later, the SUV crashed through her wall, she told ABC15.

The family was displaced from the home as a result of the incident, a fire spokesperson said.

The home is now being boarded up.

No injuries were reported and it's unknown if charges will be filed against the driver.
