PD: Man in custody after making threats at Westgate

Police are investigating after a man made verbal threats at a Westgate business Tuesday afternoon prompting evacuations at the facility.

Glendale police said officers responded to the scene near 91st and Glendale avenues around 4 p.m.

ABC15 viewers reported that the area was evacuated, and multiple marked police units were on scene.

After the man was taken into custody, he reportedly made reference to explosives and a bomb.

Police investigated the incident and have since cleared the area and allowed businesses to reopen.
