A Glendale man has been charged in a deadly head-on crash that happened on December 5th.
Glendale police say in court documents that 37-year-old Noe Padilla Ahumada was drunk--his blood alcohol level was two times the legal limit--when he crossed the painted centerline on 51st Avenue and struck another vehicle head on near Olive.
A witness statement in the police report indicated Ahumada was driving northbound and crossed into the southbound lanes several times before striking the other car.
The victim, Sabina Levi, died at the scene.
The suspect was taken to the hospital where his blood was drawn to detect his blood alcohol content level.
Records show Ahumada is in the United States on a work visa. His bond was set at $10,000 and, if released, must wear an electronic monitoring device.
He was charged with one count of manslaughter.
