The Glendale Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting near Northern and 52nd avenues.
Local and federal authorities responded to the area around 7 p.m. on Thursday to arrest a suspect who was considered to be armed and dangerous, a Glendale police spokeswoman said.
While trying to take the suspect into custody, a shooting occurred, Glendale police said. Two suspects were shot and hospitalized. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
A third suspect is being questioned by officials, police said.
No officers were injured during the incident.
Glendale police say Mesa police were the ones involved in the shooting.
The incident will be investigated by Glendale police.
