A man was injured Sunday in a drive-by shooting that may have been gang-related, according to the Glendale Police Department.

Investigators said the victim was driving on 51st Avenue, near Glendale Avenue, with two other adults in a car when someone in another vehicle started yelling at him and flashing “possible gang signs.” The gunman fired several shots into the victim’s vehicle, striking the driver once, police said.

The victim is expected to be okay, but no arrests have been made. It is unclear whether the victim and the shooter knew one another.

Police said they are searching for the suspect’s vehicle, which is described as a silver or gray Chrysler 300 with large wheels.

Anyone with information is asked to call Glendale Police at 623-930-3000 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
