Two Glendale tweens that disappeared after a sleepover have been located

Glendale police told ABC15 the girls were located at a mall in Mesa on Tuesday. Officials are interviewing the girls and have reunited them with their parents.

Twelve-year-olds Ashlyn Hotchkiss and Dezerea Senters went missing after a Saturday night sleepover.

One of the girl’s parents found a note on the counter reading “good luck finding them,” and the front door was unlocked.

"I think, originally, they ran away, but I think it’s turned into more and they’re in over their heads," said Dezerea’s mom, Jody Greer.

Greer believes the girls went to Arrowhead Mall after seeing Instagram and Snapchat posts shared with her by the girls’ friends. But she says the messages to friends took a drastic turn on Monday with messages saying that the girls needed help, along with photos of random buildings and street signs.

The last known message was from an industrial building at 83rd Avenue and Van Buren in Phoenix.
