An illegal immigrant is behind bars after exposing himself to a Glendale woman and her baby and then chasing them in a Walmart parking lot, according to court documents.
Officials said Jose Carlos Gonzalez, 21, drove next to the 26-year-old woman and her 1-year-old child and exposed himself last week in the lot at 57th and Northern avenues.
The woman told police that she ran in between parked cars to get away from Gonzalez and when she reached her car, he went up to her and exposed himself a second time. Panic stricken, the victim struggled to get into her car, then called police, documents said.
The victim said that while she was waiting for police to arrive, Gonzalez drove next to her and blocked her car in the parking spot. He then abandoned his car, but was later apprehended by police in the same parking lot, documents said.
Police said they found marijuana in Gonzalez’s car. He was arrested and charged with two counts of indecent exposure and drug possession.
According to documents, Gonzalez lives in Glendale but is in the United States illegally. He is being considered a flight risk.
