Authorities have arrested a Glendale man in connection with human remains found in Oklahoma last year.

A release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says human remains were found beside Interstate 40 on April 7, 2015 near Hinton, a town about 50 miles west of Oklahoma City.

Investigators took DNA samples during the autopsy and uploaded them to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons database. The upload found a familiar match and identified the body as that of Veneranda Flores, of New Mexico.

Flores was reported missing in late December of 2014, and OSBI agents retraced her last steps in New Mexico and Arizona last week, according to the news release.

Officials identified a suspect and arrested him at his home in Glendale.

OSBI says 40-year-old Juan Gonzalez is wanted on a charge of unlawful disposal of a human body. He is awaiting extradition at the Maricopa County Jail.

Authorities say Gonzalez worked as a long-haul trick driver for a company out of Tucson at the time of Flores' disappearance.
