Two people were taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash in Glendale on Tuesday afternoon.

Police Sergeant David Vidaure said officers responded around 12:50 p.m. to the 6500 block of West Bethany Home Road.

Investigators determined an ATV was traveling north across Bethany Home when the rider failed to yield and was hit by an SUV driving eastbound. The two vehicles crashed into a third that was facing west and waiting to make a left turn.

The driver of the SUV was hospitalized as a precaution and suffered minor injuries. The rider of the ATV, who police said was not wearing a helmet, was transported with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The road reopened just after 5 p.m.
