A fight amongst friends left one man dead in Glendale on Saturday night.

Glendale police officers responded to calls of a shooting around 11 p.m. near 61st and Northern avenues.

Upon arrival, 28-year-old Christopher Warchol was located outside of a home. The man had one gunshot wound, and was pronounced dead on the scene by firefighters.

Officers arrested 28-year-old Marcus Green, a Glendale resident, after their investigation revealed that a group of friends had gone out on Saturday night. Both Green and Warchol were out with the group.

Police say that when a vehicle, which was being driven by Warchol, had stopped to drop off Green at a residence in the area, there was an argument between both men. The argument turned physical, and Green took out a handgun and shot Warchol.

Police detained Green and he is considered a suspect. Police are still investigating the incident.
