An 18-year-old woman was killed and a young child was ejected in a serious rollover crash along the I-10 Sunday morning.

According to troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the woman is believed to have overcorrected after drifting off the roadway around 7 a.m. near Palo Verde Road.

Five passengers were sleeping in the vehicle, including a 6-month-old boy who was not restrained. The child was ejected from the car, but his current condition isn’t known. Officials located a car seat in the vehicle, but do not believe it was in use at the time.

The driver who was killed and a 47-year-old front-seat passenger were both trapped in the car after the crash.

A 37-year-old woman in the back seat and two others were also injured.

DPS believes the group was coming from Nogales.

Their identities have not been released.
