The Arizona Department of Public Safety says a 22-year-old man was killed during a hit-and-run crash in the West Valley on Sunday afternoon.
A commercial vehicle reportedly switched lanes along the I-10, hitting a black Nissan sedan, causing it to go through the median and into oncoming traffic. The Nissan was reportedly hit by a Cadillac station wagon.
A passenger in the Nissan, Benjamin Boaz Gayongala from Surprise, was killed.
Eastbound I-10 was closed for some time on Sunday near 339th Avenue for the investigation.
