First there was the selfie, then there was the selfie stick. Now, it’s the selfie pancake.

The Holiday Inn Express brand is bringing pancake selfies to the Valley with the “Pancake Selfie Express” where participants can “eat their face off, literally.”

This truck is going on a nine-city tour of the U.S. and residents can snap their own selfie and have it printed on a free pancake made by Holiday Inn Express’ one-touch pancake machine, “The Stack Station.” These machines use a laser that imprints selfies taken on smartphone camera and the entire process takes about six minutes.

Pancake selfies will be taken at Tempe Marketplace on Monday, Sept. 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The idea of the “Pancake Selfie Express” came from the company’s Creative Director, actor and comedian Rob Riggle. After Phoenix, the truck will be hitting major California cities and finishing in Sacramento.
