Tempe police have arrested a man who is accused of indecent exposure in multiple incidents this past week.

Police have identified the suspect as 29-year-old Carlos Oliva.

Oliva was apprehended and taken into custody by Tempe police on Friday night.

On Monday, Tempe police say Oliva exposed his genitals and began inappropriately touching himself inside a clothing store near Guadalupe and Rural roads.

Later that same day, Oliva was reportedly seen doing a similar act inside a retail store near Elliot and Alma School roads. He was seen leaving that store in a red, newer model Jeep.

The following day around noon, Oliva was seen exposed and touching himself at retail stores in Tempe.

Mesa police say on Tuesday Oliva also approached a woman in the park while she was meditating.

Oliva reportedly exposed himself to the woman and grabbed her inappropriately.

Police say the victim fought Oliva off and called the police to report the incident.

Through Silent Witness tips and police work between the Tempe and Mesa police departments, they identified Oliva as the suspect in the incidents.

Oliva was located in Phoenix on Friday night and subsequently arrested.

He has been charged with two counts of indecent exposure and two counts of disorderly conduct by Tempe police.

Mesa police charged Oliva with one count of sexual abuse and one count of indecent exposure.
