Officials have arrested a man who had removed his ankle monitor and fled from the state.

According to the Tempe Police Department, Adam Leap was located on December 6 in Los Angeles.

The man was arrested after officials received a tip of his whereabouts.

According to Tempe police, Leap's $200,000 bond was posted in October. Shortly after, he removed his ankle monitor and fled the state.

Leap was taken into custody in California by U.S. Marshals and is currently awaiting extradition to Arizona.

The man had an outstanding warrant after he was charged with several counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, police said.
