Firefighters say three people have been hurt after a multi-vehicle crash on the US 60 during the Friday evening commute.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the 60 near Mill Avenue. One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition, another was stable but also hospitalized and a third suffered minor injuries, according to the Tempe Fire Department.
Traffic was able to get by the scene on the shoulders, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation, but drivers were still told to expect delays.
Video from Air15 showed traffic in the area quickly backing up as drivers tried to head home for the weekend.
