Police in Tempe have released the name of a robbery suspect who was shot and later died after barricading himself at a senior care center.
They say the man was identified as 19-year-old Dalvin Hollins.
More information on Hollins was expected to be released later Thursday.
Tempe police say he was briefly barricaded Wednesday in a storage area of Westchester Senior Living, an assisted-living facility with about 160 residents.
Police say they received a call from a Walgreens store being robbed by a man with a firearm who was looking for pharmaceuticals.
Officers arrived at the scene, saw a man matching the robber's description and chased him.
After a scuffle, police say a police officer fired at least one round at the man and wounded him.
