Tempe, Scottsdale and Phoenix police are looking for a man being referred to as the ‘Tee Time Bandit’ who is believed to be responsible for at least five robberies across the Valley.

The name stems from the suspect wearing black gloves, black pants and white shoes the resemble golf cleats.

‘Tee Time Bandit' robbed five locations over 17 days

  • June 13 at the AM/PM near 67th Avenue and Thomas Road
  • June 14 at the Super Burrito near Scottsdale Road and Thomas Road
  • June 14 at the Valero near Scottsdale Road and McKellips Road
  • June 16 at the Starbucks near Scottsdale Road and McKellips Road
  • June 20 at the Starbucks near 75th Avenue and Thunderbird Road

In each incident the suspect demanded money from a register while simulating a handgun under his shirt. The suspect also stole merchandise from several of the locations, and forced victims into the Starbucks location while demanding money.

Tempe police say the man also wore a black ski mask, black zip-up and a cream or gray colored shirt. He's believed to be driving a black 1990's sedan, possibly a Dodge.

Anyone with any information on any of these cases is asked to call the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311.
