Officials are investigating a stabbing in Tempe.
Tempe police said the incident happened near Scottsdale Road and Roosevelt Street on Thursday morning.
According to police, the victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
In an update Thursday afternoon, police said the victim is expected to survive. Authorities said the ex-boyfriend and current boyfriend of a woman got into a fight which preceded the stabbing.
Police have identified the suspect as 33-year-old Ismael Iniguez and have taken him into custody.
