TEMPE, AZ — A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after he was struck by a car in Tempe Saturday night.
The incident happened around 6:25 p.m. near Rural Road and Southern Avenue according to Tempe police.
Officers say the man was crossing against the light when he was hit. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, according to Tempe Police Officer Allyson Roy.
At this time, impairment is not believed to be a factor regarding the driver. Whether the pedestrian was impaired is still being investigated, said Roy.
