A man suffered life-threatening injuries Monday after being stabbed by his brother in Guadalupe, according to Maricopa County Sheriff's Office deputies.

Officials said that Jonathan Gonzales stabbed his brother, Alexander James Gonzales, with a kitchen knife while the two were arguing shortly after 2 p.m. near a dumpster at Baseline Road and Priest Drive.

The victim was taken to a hospital with several stab wounds to his back and arms while his brother was taken into custody.

Alexander James Gonzales has since been released from the hospital and is expected to be OK. Deputies said his brother admitted to the stabbing and in jail on a aggravated assault domestic violence charge.
