TEMPE, AZ — One man was hospitalized and two families were displaced following an apartment fire that was reported near Rural and Broadway roads Saturday morning.
The Tempe Fire Department said firefighters responded to reports of an apartment fire in the area of Rural and Broadway roads where they found one apartment that caught on fire of a single-story duplex.
Firefighters were quick to get the fire under control and one man was transported to a hospital for smoke inhalation, authorities said.
Two families were displaced due to the fire.
No other injuries were reported and fire officials are investigating to figure out what caused the fire.
