Thursday is the first day of class for students attending Arizona State University.
Nearly 11,500 freshmen will be entering one of ASU’s four campus locations today, the largest in the University history for enrollment.
ASU strives to educate a diverse student body, including 50 percent of state-based freshman coming from underrepresented populations.
Here’s how this year’s freshman class breaks down:
- 9,000 to Tempe campus
- 450 to West campus
- 570 to the Polytechnic campus
- 1,500 to the Downtown campus
- 35 to Lake Havasu City
- 2,000 will be joining Barrett, the Honors College across all four metropolitan campuses.
Happy first day of school ASU freshman class!
