PCSO: Man shoots wife, self after fight at San Tan Valley home

Pinal County Sheriff's deputies are investigating after a man shot his wife and then himself Monday night during an argument at their San Tan Valley home.

The Pinal County Sheriffs Office said the shooting happened just after 7 p.m. at a residence near Hunt Highway and Gary Road.

According to PCSO, the husband got into a fight with his wife then pulled out a gun and shot his wife in the leg. The man reportedly then exited the home and shot himself in the head.

PCSO said the victim was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive. The suspected shooter was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Deputies are continuing to investigate the incident.
