SAN TAN VALLEY, AZ — Officials are asking for the public's help identifying a man after a woman was nearly abducted while jogging in San Tan Valley on January 31.

Pinal County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Navideh Forghani said the 26-year-old woman was jogging in the Johnson Ranch community around 10 a.m. when she noticed someone in a car following her near Maravilla Drive and Indigo Sky Boulevard, making inappropriate comments and noises.

When she got into the intersection, the driver reportedly opened his door and grabbed the victim by her arm, attempting to pull her inside the car.

Forghani said the woman was able to get away, but the suspect continued to follow and tell her to get into his truck. When she began calling 911, he reportedly took off from the scene.

The driver is described as a white male in his 30s, with brown hair, scruffy facial hair, and was seen wearing a light-colored or white shirt. His truck is described as a gray Toyota Tacoma.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pinal County Sheriff's Office at 520-866-5111.
