The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office says 119 pounds of marijuana were found inside a vehicle after a pursuit that ended with the suspect crashing into a wash. The driver of the car is still missing.

The incident happened Thursday November 3, around 5:30 a.m.

PCSO says the silver Chrysler PT Cruiser was seen speeding on I-8 and refused to stop for a deputy. Eventually the driver crossed the median, across oncoming traffic, and drove into the desert.

A short time later the vehicle drove through a barbed wire fence and crashed into a wash.

Deputies reported hearing voices in the area when they found the vehicle crashed, and set up a perimeter in the area but were not able to find anyone. The driver of the vehicle is still missing. No description has been given, and it's unclear how many people were inside the car.
