Authorities are requesting the public’s help identify a truck driver accused of hitting a motorcyclist earlier this month and leaving the accident scene.

On Saturday, May 12, police were called to the area of Lindsay and McKellips roads after receiving reports of a car crash.

According to Mesa Police, a Chevrolet Silverado was heading northbound on Lindsay Road when the driver attempted to turn left and hit a motorcyclist traveling southbound between McKellips and McDowell roads.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and the driver left the scene.

The suspect was driving a light-colored truck between the years of 2007 and 2013. It’s an extended or crew cab with front bumper damage, officials said.

Anyone with information about the accident is urged to call the Mesa Police Department at 480-644-2211 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
