Mesa police say a man has died after being stabbed overnight and officers are looking for a suspect.
Detective Steve Berry, spokesperson for Mesa police, said the initial report is a man and woman got into a domestic dispute on Wednesday evening and the man was stabbed by the woman.
The woman, only described as heavier-set, ran away after the incident, said police.
Police found the man at Center and First Avenue and took him to the hospital where he later died. His identity has not yet been released.
Mesa police is asking anyone who may have been in the area between 7:15 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. on Jan. 27 to give them a call. They can be reached at 480-644-2211.
