Mesa police are looking for an armed man suspected of robbing a Mesa gas station last week.

The incident occurred at the AM/PM convenience store near McKellips Road and Center Street around 9 p.m. on September 30.

The suspect reportedly fired a shotgun into the wall behind the clerk, demanding money.

A witness reportedly tried to hold the doors closed so the suspect couldn't exit, but the witness was also threatened.

Police say the suspect then took off southbound on Center Street.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man in his thirties, approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 250 pounds. He has dark facial hair and was last seen wearing a yellow glove on his right hand.
