MESA, AZ — A Mesa Police Department motorcycle officer was involved in a crash with a hit-and-run driver Saturday night.
Police say the crash happened around 10 p.m. near Guadalupe and Dobson roads.
The officer reportedly attempted to make contact with a driver that was allegedly doing donuts in a parking lot. Once on scene, police say he was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.
The officer suffered minor injuries in the incident, according to police.
Police have not released any description on the hit-and-run driver at this time.
