FD: Minor injuries in Mesa school bus crash

Officials are investigating a crash involving a school bus Tuesday morning in Mesa.

Forrest Smith, spokesman for Mesa Fire Department, said five students, some with special needs, were on the bus when the crash occurred. None of the injuries were considered major or life-threatening he said.

No one needed to be transported to the hospital and paramedics were assessing the students on scene, he said.

The crash happened shortly before 8 a.m. near Gilbert and University.

Air15 video showed a yellow school bus and a red passenger vehicle at the crash site. Shattered glass could be seen on the roadway.

No other details were released.
