A Mesa toddler is in critical condition after being found in a backyard spa.
The Mesa Fire Department received reports from a home near Crismon and Brown roads around 6 p.m. Friday.
According to a fire spokesperson, the 2-year-old boy went through a dog door and into the backyard.
The child was breathing after being found in the water, officials said. However, he is hospitalized in critical condition.
No additional information was released.
