Deputies are asking for help in tracking down a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run in the Southeast Valley.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says the collision happened on Apache Trail near Hawes Road sometime between 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 21st and 7:30 a.m. on the 22nd.

Investigators say a man was walking on the eastbound side of Apache Trail when he was hit by a vehicle also heading east. The vehicle did not stop nor call 911, according to a news release.

Authorities believe the vehicle is a 2004 to 2008 Nissan Maxima, and say it will have damage to the right side, including the headlight assembly, front quarter panel and bumper area.

The man who was hit suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Anyone with information is asked to call MCSO at (602) 876-TIPS (8477) and refer to report number 18-031162.
