A suspected impaired driver was taken into custody overnight after failing to yield to troopers on the Loop 101 in Mesa.
Shortly after midnight the Department of Public Safety attempted to stop a suspected impaired driver in the area of Loop 101 and Guadalupe Road in Mesa.
The driver exited the freeway and continued driving on surface streets and was eventually able to be stopped in the area of Alma School and Elliot Roads.
The driver, a man in his 60s, was taken into custody.
There were no injuries to the troopers or the driver.
