The Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating after a report was made claiming a shot was fired on Loop 101 near Warner Road.
DPS was contacted after someone said a passenger traveling in a vehicle, that was entering the freeway, opened fire and shot at least one round.
DPS said the person who contacted officials claimed seeing someone inside the vehicle, sitting in the passenger seat, stick a gun out of the car window before opening fire.
Troopers were called out to the area to investigate but a suspect vehicle was not located.
