The Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to the crash at Val Vista Drive around 2:30 a.m.
When troopers arrived at the scene, they discovered an SUV rolled over and a sedan damaged, a DPS spokesman said.
The driver of the SUV, a man in his 30s, was taken to the hospital where he later died of his injuries, officials said. The driver of the sedan, a woman in her 20s, is also hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
The woman is being investigated for impairment, authorities confirmed.
