MESA, AZ — A man and woman have been arrested in California in connection to a homicide that happened in Mesa on Saturday.
Mesa police say a homicide occurred on May 4 at a home near University Drive and Sossaman Road.
Mesa police say they worked closely with Hermosa Beach police in California, who located the couple’s 13-year-old son on Tuesday along with their vehicle.
Wednesday, Ryan and Laura Nuckoles were located and arrested in Redondo Beach, California.
Mesa police were able to share additional information that led to the arrests of Ryan and Laura Nuckoles in Redondo Beach, California on Wednesday.
Both are being charged with first degree murder in the death of Ryan's brother, Robert Nuckoles.
The teen will be reunited with his biological father.
Mesa police say the timely success of this investigation is due to the “teamwork and professionalism of our Mesa PD homicide unit and the Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach Police Departments.”
