An adult and a small child are dead after an apartment fire in Mesa Tuesday night.
Mesa police say just after 4:30 p.m. fire units responded to a call of smoke coming from a home near Country Club Drive and Broadway Road.
Firefighters made entry into the home and found that the source of the smoke was a nearly extinguished fire in a bedroom.
First responders found an adult and a small child dead inside the bedroom.
