Police say they're investigating whether a man attempted to sexually assault a girl in Gilbert Saturday morning at a community park.
The 14-year-old told police that she was at a Cooley Station North neighborhood park near Recker and Williams Field roads, when it happened around 7:40 a.m.

She said a white man in his forties contacted her while she was sitting in the park.
The suspect is described as a man with a muscular build, around 5 feet 10 inches tall with slicked back brown and gray hair. He also had a goatee.
He may have been wearing jeans at the time, according to the description.
Responding officers checked the scene and surrounding neighborhood, but did not locate a suspect. He is believed to have fled on foot.
“We saw the police cars all around, we didn’t know what was happening though," said Randi Rich, a neighbor. "It’s kind of a shock because all the kids play all around here, especially [at] the park and the pool.”
Police are still actively investigating the incident.
