Gilbert police searching for assault suspect that attacked a woman

GILBERT, PD — Police are searching for a man who allegedly assaulted a woman and tried to drag her behind a power box last month.

Gilbert police say the incident happened on December 26, near Park Village Drive and Guadalupe Road around 6 p.m.

The woman tells police that the man approached her and asked if he could use her phone. She says when she told him no and started to back away, he attacked her and grabbed her by the back of her hair. The man allegedly tried to drag the woman behind a power box nearby, but she was able to escape and run away.

Police say the suspect is described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic male, 5’10”, 130 lbs, short trimmed beard, wearing baggy clothes, black beanie, black jacket, black pants and black shoes.
