Chandler police says a man in a go-kart was drug under a truck for a "short distance" after the two collided Thursday.
Seth Tyler, spokesman for Chandler police, said the go-kart rider was alert and communicating with paramedics.
He said the go-kart rider was traveling down a street near Chandler Blvd. and Ithica when a full-size pick-up truck turned onto the street and ran over the go-kart.
The rider has been taken to the hospital.
The driver of the pick-up did stay on scene. Impairment has not been ruled out as a factor in the crash.
