Chandler police say an endangered man with a diminished mental capacity who was reported missing has been found safe.
Erick Merez, 44, was reportedly last seen Thursday morning near Dobson and Ocotillo roads. He was last seen on foot.
According to police, he has the mental capacity of a 7- to -10-year-old and takes medication for schizophrenia.
He speaks English and Spanish, but is described as non-verbal.
Police said late Thursday morning that he was found safe, but did not release other details.
