Officials are looking for a person who cut a dog's throat in Chandler.

Chandler police said officers responded to the area of McQueen and Warner roads on September 18 for a report of an injured dog.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 3-year-old dog named Panda with a severe laceration to her throat.

Panda was turned over to the Arizona Humane Society for treatment and is recovering from surgery.

According to police, Panda was recently re-homed to an unknown person. Panda’s previous owners gave her to an unknown Hispanic man at Espee Park earlier in the month.

Investigators believe Panda’s injuries were intentional.
