Chandler Police say a 12-year-old boy has died from a gunshot wound on Sunday morning.
According to officials, the shooting happened at a home near Gilbert and Ocotillo roads.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police are investigating and initially did not know whether the shooting was accidental. Police later said that the boy passed away and that the shooting is believed to be self-inflicted.
