A 1-year-old boy has been transported to the hospital after a near-drowning in Chandler.
The incident happened at a house near Gilbert Road and Hunt Highway on Wednesday morning.
Chandler fire said the boy crawled through the doggie door at his grandparent’s house and gained access to the pool.
It is unknown how long the child was in the pool when the grandparents found him floating.
The child was pulled from the pool and transported to the hospital.
According to fire, the child had a pulse and was alert on the way to the hospital.
There was no pool fence at the home.
