The Chandler Police Department is searching for a man who allegedly pointed a gun at customers outside a Lowe's and fired at least one shot and then ran from police.

Police say the incident started on the morning of February 11, outside the Lowe's near Ray Road and Priest Drive.

The suspect allegedly pointed a hand gun at a couple in the parking lot and yelled racial slurs at them. Police say the man then left the scene in a newer model four-door dark pickup truck.

According to police, the suspect was eventually contacted by Phoenix police before he fled onto the Gila River Indian Community, struck a light pole and continued driving.

The suspect is described as approximately 5’10” and weighing between 170 and 200 pounds. The suspect has a mustache, pot belly and is believed to be between 30 and 50 years old. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, denim jeans and athletic shoes.

The truck has front end damage, a dark-colored bed cover, and a short satellite antenna on the roof.
