Chandler fire crews recovering body after man falls into backyard lake

Rescue crews were called out Wednesday night after a boy reported seeing a man who fell into the water.

Chandler fire crews are working to recover a body Wednesday night after a man fell into a backyard lake, officials said.

The Chandler Fire Department said a 10-year-old boy witnessed a man, in his 70s, fall into the lake near Dobbins and Queen Creek roads.

The boy told his teenage cousin, who called 911 shortly after 8 p.m.

The victim's name was not released and it is unclear what caused him to fall into the water.
