CHANDLER, AZ — After being found in Chandler with a metal trap on his leg, there’s a happy ending for a 10-year-old tabby cat named Henry Jones Jr!

The Arizona Humane Society says Henry went missing from a Valley home more than a year and a half ago.

He was eventually found in Chandler after being caught in a metal trap.

Police say they got a call on December 12 around 10:30 a.m. from a woman who said she found a yellow short haired cat with a trap on its back leg.

The woman took the cat to a local animal hospital for treatment.

After the story made the news and was shared on social media, the family says they immediately recognized their long lost pet!

They connected with the AZ Humane Society and was able to pick up Henry, who continues to recover from his injury.

It's unclear what kind of adventures Henry had during his time missing, or who was responsible for the trap that he was eventually caught in.
