PHOENIX — A suspect is at large after shooting and killing a woman in Phoenix on Sunday afternoon.
According to Phoenix police, just after 12 p.m. officers responded to an apartment in the area of 39th Avenue and Camelback Road for a report of a shooting.
Police say a woman was shot during an argument. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
The victim was transported to the hospital where she later died. She has since been identified as 43-year-old Sarah Hawkins.
At this point, police say the suspect is believed to be known to the victim.
