A number of law enforcement agencies responded to shots fired at a vehicle in the West Valley Wednesday morning.

Officials responded to the call around 1 a.m. in the area of Interstate 10 and Litchfield Road.

At one point the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Goodyear Police and Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department were all on the scene investigating.

MCSO says the victim, a 17-year-old boy, suffered non-life threatening injuries to his face and torso when he was reportedly shot with bird shot from a shotgun. A large hole was seen in the driver side window.

MCSO also says the teen admitted to completing a drug transaction before the incident. The suspected shooters, two young men, reportedly fled the scene in a car.

We have a crew at the scene gathering additional information. Officials are expected to give an update later in the morning.
